Why lock yourself out of a vast world of creative possibilities by avoiding studio lights.

Lighting is the key to photography, and studio lighting allows you unlimited creative control over it, opening up doors to portrait, fashion, product and advertising, still life, architectural, and conceptual photography.

This introductory studio course aims to break down the mechanics of studio lighting & develop a firm foundation in practical lighting applications. We will take the fright out of light!

What you will learn / Course Objective

• Understanding of digital SLR camera functions & features.
• Clever usage of lens
• Exposure & colour control
• Creative use of depth of field
• Basic principles of lighting
• What, why, and how of professional studio lights and accessories/light modifiers
• Light demonstration and comparison of flash/strobe vs. ambient light
  custom white balance
• techniques and limitations of the participant’s own strobes and accessories
• wireless triggers

What you need / Requirement

What to bring ?
The participant must have a digital SLR camera (any brand) with controls for aperture and shutter speed & strong desire to learn.

Requirements:
Student with good photography foundation and a camera controls. Preferably have
completed our foundation series photography workshop.
